Higher nameplate power alone does not guarantee faster real-world charging. Vehicle limits, battery temperature, state of charge, power sharing and site utilization all affect what drivers actually receive.

For station design, real charging-session data can be more useful than only comparing maximum charger ratings. It helps estimate stall count, transformer size and likely energy throughput.

What to check before making a practical decision

When comparing charger specifications, separate the charger’s maximum rating from typical delivered power and actual session energy at the intended site.
