The iX3 is the first production SUV from BMW’s Neue Klasse generation and introduces a new electrical, software and cabin architecture. In Israel, the range begins with the rear-wheel-drive iX3 40 and extends to the dual-motor iX3 50 xDrive. The model is positioned as a large premium electric crossover, but its efficiency and charging technology are as important as its performance.

Key facts

  • Israeli list price starts at ₪434,900, before the registration fee.
  • BMW quotes up to 801 km WLTP for the iX3 50 xDrive, subject to final Israeli homologation data.
  • Charging power up to 400 kW can add roughly 309–372 km of range in ten minutes under ideal conditions.

What changed and why it matters

BMW’s official Israeli page quotes up to 801 km for the iX3 50 xDrive and notes that production has only recently begun and final local homologation figures may still differ. The new Panoramic iDrive concept combines a 17.9-inch central display with information projected across the lower windscreen.

Charging and everyday use

The 400 kW DC capability is among the highest currently advertised for a passenger car. It requires a compatible charger and proper battery preconditioning; a lower-power station will not deliver the headline result. Home charging is slower and should be planned around the onboard AC rating, the building supply and daily mileage rather than the DC figure.

What to check before ordering

Before signing, confirm the exact local range, charging connector, AC charging specification and equipment package. Owners installing a charger should size the circuit for normal overnight use, not for the maximum public DC power, which is supplied by specialised high-voltage stations.
