The electric GLC is an important model for Mercedes-Benz because it is built on a dedicated electric platform rather than being a battery version of the combustion GLC. In Israel it is offered in several rear- and all-wheel-drive versions, starting with the GLC 250 EQ. The new architecture supports long range, high charging power and a software-centred electrical system.

Key facts

  • Israeli prices begin at ₪439,900 for the GLC 250 EQ.
  • 85 or 94 kWh batteries, depending on version, with stated range up to 663 km.
  • DC charging up to about 330 kW and 10–80% in roughly 22 minutes; AC charging up to 22 kW.

What changed and why it matters

Battery capacity is 85 kWh in the entry and mid-level versions and 94 kWh in the GLC 400. The quoted range reaches 663 km, while performance ranges from a strong rear-wheel-drive model to dual-motor variants. A front luggage compartment adds 100 litres, and the main boot holds 570 litres.

Charging and everyday use

For Israeli homes, the unusual 22 kW AC capability deserves attention. It can shorten charging time substantially, but only where the property has a suitable three-phase supply, cable, protection and approved load allocation. Many homes will still charge at 11 kW or less. On the road, the 800-volt system and roughly 330 kW DC peak can reduce long-trip stops on compatible chargers.

What to check before ordering

Buyers should verify the exact battery, drivetrain and trim because the price range is wide. They should also confirm whether the chosen installation can support 22 kW; installing a charger with a higher rating does not create electrical capacity that the building does not have.
